Advertising Disclosure & How Rankings Work

Last updated: March 8, 2026

RewardRank helps you discover and compare credit cards using a mix of data, product features, and user preferences.

Current status: the marketplace runs in beta with sample profile data while live affiliate offers are being onboarded and validated.

Advertising Disclosure

In live mode, RewardRank may receive compensation from some companies whose products are shown on the site. In some cases, this compensation may affect placement or whether an offer is labeled as “Featured.”

In beta mode, labels and ranking modules are interface previews using sample profile data, not paid card placements.

We aim to clearly distinguish advertising from editorial/product information. Where applicable, we label offers as:

  • Sponsored / Featured (advertising)
  • Best match / Recommended (ranking output based on criteria)

How “Best Match” Works

“Best match” is a score-based ranking designed to help you quickly shortlist cards that fit a given use case (for example: 0% intro APR, cash back, travel, no annual fee).

The “best match” score may consider factors like:

  • Intro APR duration (purchases and/or balance transfers)
  • Regular APR range
  • Annual fee and common fees (e.g., balance transfer fee, foreign transaction fee)
  • Rewards rate and category fit
  • Welcome bonus (when available)
  • Perks and protections (when available)
  • Card ratings and user interest signals (aggregated / anonymized)

User Controls

Your selected filters and sorting choice override the default ranking. You can:

  • Filter by category (e.g., 0% intro APR, cash back)
  • Filter for “no annual fee”
  • Sort by “highest rating” or “lowest fee” (when available)

Data Sources & Updates

During beta, listings use sample profile data. At full launch, we collect offer details from publicly available issuer information and/or partner feeds when available. We try to keep information current, but we can't guarantee every offer is up to date at all times.

Always confirm details on the issuer's website before applying.

Launch-phase behavior

  • Beta: sample profile catalog, no live application routing.
  • Live: approved affiliate links and compliance-reviewed disclosure labels.
  • User-selected filters and sort controls continue to override default ranking.

Editorial Independence

When RewardRank publishes educational content or tool results, our goal is clarity and usefulness. Compensation may affect placement, but we strive to present information fairly and transparently.
